Any back side shot? From the current tail still could possibly be Malaysian, haven't fully ruled out yet.

not totally but we can see something, whitish on nape, usually happens on Malaysian, this view did not give a very good view of tail barrings, so I still stick with more likely Malaysian, to ID Malaysian/Hodgson's, the most convincing feature is tertials coloration and tail barring pattern (usually more accurate from back view)

It is not easy to be sure you got the same bird, both species are known to co-occur at one spot, and cuckoos generally do that, you often get a number of cuckoo species feeding at a same spot!
