Common Kingfisher Hovering ready for prey

Post by BENCYF on Fri Feb 07, 2014 9:16 am

Target bird did not show out when I was sitting there waiting.(Forest Wagtail)
But there was a common KF playing around at the same area while I was sitting quietly waiting for my target bird.
Maybe CKF is too common to me and it was trying to catch my attention and diving for prey in front of me about 50 feet away for a few times.
After seeing his act, I just could not resist his tease and gave it a few shots with jpeg.
Guess what... it was hovering for a few seconds and I counted there were 45 shots in total.
Here come some records shots in sequence.......LOL Mad  Mad  Mad
Taken with AFS 80-400VRII. 1/2000 F7.1 ISO900

Yes, Forest Wagtail is Pau Chiak. It did not show out for me coz I did not have bait on hand. And it already used to human being. Once it saw us setting up bait,
it just flew by and wait.  If you are coming, better be quick coz I do not know by when it will leave.

Ben, thanks for the offer, I cannot find time to come over now, I am very busy going after something uncommon, and it has taken me months just to see the fella once ! Whatever, I will get that bugger to show you.
